";s:4:"text";s:1463:"Easter is never directly mentioned or celebrated in the Bible. When he spoke to the prophets, it always had to do with his redemptive plan, not personal issues in their lives. In the Old Testament times he appeared to such people as Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Samuel, David, Elijah and Isaiah. Did God speak of Easter in the Bible? ADAM – Genesis 2:16-17, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Most often, He made His will clear through the written messages He had given in the past — in other words, through the Bible. The Scripture testifies that God has revealed Himself personally to a number of different people on various occasions.
Let’s look at a few times the Lord spoke directly to someone in the Bible.
